Why Do We Deserve You?

We operate on a basic principal that people are our most valuable asset. We expect the best from each other, and you should expect to get the best from us. Our relationships are built on trust and respect, and our work environment is designed to be both efficient and very flexible. We're a small company with a firm trajectory of growth, and you could grow with us. We have virtually no management layer and we avoid bureaucracy like the plague while maintaining very high levels of accountability. Our work schedule is very flexible, meaning you can work as much or as little as suits your needs. We pay fairly, and we'll reward you for your hard work and dedication to the team.

Who Are We Looking For?

We're looking for mature, goal oriented, skilled, hard working people who would love to work with an aboriginal communications company. We want to have the right people on our team. Our first priority is to hire aboriginal people. To work with us, you'll need training related to our industry, or work experience in the communications industry, or ideally both. You will also need to be a Mac user, since we all use Macs in our work environments. We do occasionally hire and train people who have strong foundational skills into starting positions (design, writing, project management) - although talk to us first before applying if you need on-the-job training.

CopperMoon is a leader in aboriginal communications solutions that work. This means working for First Nations and aboriginal organizations, it also means working for mainstream organizations that want to work meaningfully with aboriginal people. This has been our focus since about 2003. Our goal is to provide the highest quality service and product. Our edge is the combination of traditional aboriginal philosophies – ancestral laws – and mainstream tools. This approach is not a compromise, but an opportunity to be great.

The Different Ways We Could Work Together

There are a couple ways we could work together:
  • You could represent CopperMoon in your location. If you are located in a place where CopperMoon could be a good fit, you could start representing us there as a freelancer. Once we land a few projects in your area chances are there will be demand for a full time office. Most of our current full-time offices started this way - with a CopperMoon supporter and a community that really needs our services!

  • You could be a freelancer/ contractor of CopperMoon. Freelancers work part time and technically get paid more per hour because each hour is billable. It is also a great way to "try it out" - our most recent full time staff started as freelancers.

  • You could be a part time or full time employee of CopperMoon. We offer competitive benefits and incentives for employees.
